I photographed this lovely family together out in the heathland near their home. I was over the moon when I went out on my “reccie” to view backdrops for the shoot as the open spaces on the heathland were beautifully framed by the yellow blooms – perfect for family photographs. Before the day of the shoot, I always go out to the client’s location of choice to measure up the light and the backdrops, so I am well informed about the area on the day of the family photographs, and have great ideas for where the best photographs will be taken. On the day, the kids loved all my action oriented ideas, and had a good laugh running, jumping and clicking their heels together. I used the heathland as much as possible in their family portraits as it’s an area that is quite important to them. As a family photographer, I love photographing families in places that are sentimental and special to them as it adds to their photographs. It creates a story from the family shoot to remind the family of their memories of their favourite walk or the great tree that the children used to climb all the time. One of the most important parts of photographing a family together is finding a location that allows them to relax, and enjoy their time together whilst they are having photographs taken. As a Guildford Family Photographer, there are many beautiful locations in the area to capture families together.
