I photographed this sweet couple and their extended family together last weekend. The autumn colours were bursting in their lovely garden, which was wonderful to use as colourful backdrops for their family photograph. As a family photographer, once I saw the great arch carved into the shrubs, I had to photograph through it. When I asked this sweet couple what their secret was to 55 years of marriage, they returned with – just smile. It’s wonderful taking family portraits of extended families in Surrey together, as it provides memories for the whole family to look back on. This family kept me giggling throughout, as they were all constantly trying to make the other laugh out loud – which is great for a family shoot.
